Description

Our Orthopedic Center team is committed to providing you surgical excellence at Community Hospital and the Total Joint Replacement Class is a key part of the process. The class is designed to prepare you and your family for the joint-replacement journey, including pre-surgical preparation, surgery, recovery, comprehensive discharge planning, and rehabilitation. The class is led by our experienced joint replacement program coordinator, who has more than a dozen years of experience in orthopedics.

Information provided in the class will be a valuable resource for you and your support people to understand what is involved in joint replacement surgery and gives you an opportunity to ask questions you may have. You will receive materials to help you prepare for surgery and for your recovery at home.

  • Preparation for surgery
  • Day of surgery
  • Your initial recovery after surgery
  • Pain management
  • Recovery and rehabilitation
  • Preparation for discharge

Valet service is available for any patient or visitor who requests assistance. You can find an attendant at the Cancer Center driveway when arriving for this class.
