"I really love my job, love taking care of people who need help, are sick, and can't do for themselves. It's our great honor to be able to help people in need." - Stephanie Harr, 2007 Nurse of the Year
Opportunities for advancement, new challenges
Community Hospital offers opportunities for employees who would like to transition from non-clinical jobs to medical careers, or from one area of specialization to another.
Employee of the Year 2014
Congratulations to James for his selection as this year’s Employee of the Year. James has been an employee since April 2004. His director, Ken Gordon, said that James is clearly one of our organization’s exemplary employees that sets the standard for others in “Exceeding Expectations”.
James worked his way up through the Security Services department starting off as a Shuttle Driver up to his current role as a Security Officer. James is always working towards improving himself and asks others to critique him and find ways to do things better. It is because of this that James has clearly become one of the organization’s best employees and is appreciated by all.
James is respected by those who work with him as well as those who come to the hospital as volunteers, physicians, patients, and visitors. James does an incredible job at balancing customer service with his responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for all. James is definitely a “can do” person and never says that it “isn’t my job”. James is clearly a great ambassador not only for the Security department but for all of Community Hospital!
