Community Hospital offers a comprehensive program to help you kick your nicotine addiction.
Here are the steps you can take:
STEP 1:
INTRODUCTORY CONSULTATION
Call the Kick the Nic program and set up a free individual consultation with a smoking-cessation counselor. You will get an evaluation of your readiness to quit, as well as learn the best treatment options to quit smoking and proven practices for success.
STEP 2:
SUPPORT GROUP
Wednesdays, 7–8 p.m.
Free. No preregistration required.
Attend this free weekly support group for people who have recently quit or are thinking about quitting
smoking. Share practical ideas with others experiencing the same challenges and successes. The first
Wednesday of every month includes an education component by a guest speaker.
STEP 3:
FIRST-MONTH COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM
Individual appointments, one-month fee
Partner with a tobacco-cessation counselor for an individualized plan for success. Includes a comprehensive assessment, education, and weekly one-on-one coaching.
Medication management is available by the Kick the Nic program doctor, who may recommend and prescribe medication to assist in smoking cessation.
STEP 4:
ONGOING COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM
Individual appointments, monthly fee
Participants continue receiving ongoing support and weekly coaching with a smoking-cessation counselor.
