Sleep disorders

Sleep. It’s not just a pause from daily life, it’s crucial for renewing mental and physical health. About 12 million Americans suffer from sleep apnea. Essentially, they snore loudly and/or stop breathing during sleep. An estimated 10 million others remain undiagnosed.

Many People Fail to Get a Good Night's Sleep

If you’re not getting enough sleep, you begin to build up sleep debt. Your sleep debt continues to grow as you add on more and more restless hours. The longer this cycle continues, the drowsier you become and the greater the effect on your physical and mental health.

Lack of Sleep Can Cause Health Problems

Poor sleep over long periods of time can cause or contribute to high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, congestive heart failure, and/or diabetes — not to mention drowsy driving, which can result in serious car accidents.

Fortunately, the Sleep Disorders Center at Ryan Ranch is here to help.

The First Step Toward Recovery

A sleep evaluation by a trained sleep therapist is the first step toward recovery. After reviewing your symptoms, your doctor can refer you to a sleep specialist or you can call us directly for a referral. You will then be assigned to a specific sleep specialist, who will evaluate you individually, determine what type of tests you need, and customize your program to your sleep routine.

We treat obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) as well as many other sleep disorders including:

  • Narcolepsy
  • Insomnia
  • Difficulty initiating and maintaining sleep (DIMS)
  • Hypoventilation syndrome

We are able to help diagnose restless leg syndrome.

Most Sleep Disorders are Covered by Insurance

Most health insurance policies cover the assessment and treatment of sleep disorders, provided you get screened by a professional. We offer this type of screening. It’s thorough, interactive, and designed to support the best possible results for you.
