This two-hour lecture by Dr. Mark Vierra is open to the public. Topics include the biological basis for obesity; strategies for weight loss; and surgical options, outcomes, and complications. Family members are encouraged to attend.

Obesity surgery follow-up group (preoperative and early postoperative)

6:30-8:30 pm. (second Thursday of each month)

This support group is led by a registered dietitian with an interest in weight-loss surgery. The group is recommended for those who have recently undergone and those who are considering weight-loss surgery.

There is an advanced gastric bypass support group the fourth Wednesday of each month for people who have had the surgery at least one year.  Please call 649-7230 for more information.
