Eight marketing awards won by Community Hospital

MONTEREY , Calif. - Work by the Communication and Marketing department of Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula earned eight awards in an international competition sponsored by the Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals.
The department received five platinum MarCom Awards, the highest given, two gold awards, and an honorable mention in the competition, which recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals.
Community Hospital 's 2008 annual report was honored with four platinum awards and one honorable mention. The communication pieces developed for Community Hospital 's Exceeding Expectations program, which promotes a set of workplace standards, also received a platinum award. Materials produced for Community Hospital 's "It's my Life" wellness campaign and its 2009 annual meeting earned gold awards.
The competition drew more than 5,000 entries by a broad range of participants, from small communication and marketing firms to Fortune 500 companies.
Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula , founded in 1934 and located at 23625 Holman Highway in Monterey , has grown and evolved in direct response to the changing healthcare needs of the people it serves.
