Community Hospital Auxillary announces new officers
MONTEREY, Calif. —The Auxiliary of Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula has announced its officers for 2009. They are: Rita Echenique, president; Lynn Morris, vice president community outreach; Anna C. Panetta, vice president inservice; Ann O’Neill, vice president membership; Jane Stile, secretary; and Dave Tubman, treasurer.
The Auxiliary has more than 500 active volunteers who gave 83,000 hours of service last year. At its fall luncheon, stories about many years of dedicated service to the Auxiliary and the community were shared. We thank these volunteers for their commitment to volunteering and helping others:
40 years: Marion Robotti
30 years: Lisa Bradburn, Phyllis Henderson, and Dorothy Reid
25 years: Rose Ferrante, Sue Muniz, Martha Rau, and Anne Rotter
20 years: Esther Anderson, Jane McCune, and Fusae Price
Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, founded in 1934 and located at 23625 Holman Highway in Monterey, has grown and evolved in direct response to the changing healthcare needs of the people it serves. It is a nonprofit healthcare provider with 205 staffed acute-care hospital beds and 28 skilled-nursing beds, delivering a continuum of care from birth to end of life, and every stage in between. It serves the Monterey Peninsula and surrounding communities through 15 locations, including the main hospital, outpatient facilities, satellite laboratories, a mental health clinic, a short-term skilled nursing facility, Hospice of the Central Coast, and business offices.
