Please bring as little as possible when coming to the hospital, but be sure to include the following items: Slippers

  • Night clothes (avoid snaps and long gowns), bathrobe, and sturdy nonskid slippers or shoes if staying overnight
  • Comfortable clothes to wear home
  • Personal toiletry items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, comb or brush, deodorant, and razor, although these items are available at no charge during your stay
  • A list of all medications you take (including prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and herbal remedies), including the dose, time of day, and reason for medication
  • Details of illnesses, surgeries, and any allergies to medicines, foods, or environment
  • Your health insurance or health plan card
  • A list of the names and telephone numbers of family or friends to call if needed
  • Your driver's license if you need to use notary services

Please put your name on personal items; this can prevent loss and help us identify missing items.

  • Jewelry
  • Credit cards
  • Checkbook
  • Electric shaver
