South Pavilion Open House
The night of October 11, 2006, was a historic one for Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. Employees, physicians, volunteers, and members of the community got their first look at the new 100,000-square-foot South Pavilion, part of the hospital’s $170-million multi-phase expansion called the Pavilions Project. The South Pavilion houses a new Emergency department, four times the size of the previous facility; eight new high-tech operating suites; and an expanded 20-room Intensive Care Unit. Here is a photo tour (participants are identified from left to right in each picture) of that historic October open house and ribbon cutting.
