Outpatient surgery for children
We know how important it is for parents and children to be together during a child's surgery. A parent or guardian needs to accompany and remain with a patient who is less than 18 years of age. If possible, make arrangements for childcare for other children before the day of surgery.
Please bring diapers for infants and formula or breast milk in a bottle, if your child drinks from a bottle.
Depending on the age of your child you will be given instructions from a nurse in outpatient surgery regarding eating and drinking prior to surgery.
