Hand Hygiene Program
Clean hands are a top priority for our staff and patients as they are the first defense against the spread of serious infection and germs. Our hand hygiene program, adopting the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s “It’s OK to Ask” mantra, is designed to keep clean hands at the top of mind and conversation for our medical caregivers, patients, and their visitors.
Patients are encouraged to ask if their caregiver and visitors have cleaned their hands upon arriving in a patient room. Caregivers are also monitored for proper hand hygiene during their shifts as we aim to improve our hand cleaning compliance.
