Steven Goldberg, MD, is an interventional cardiologist and medical director for structural heart disease at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. He specializes in managing coronary artery disease, intra-coronary stents, and structural heart interventions, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), in which a valve is replaced without open-heart surgery; closures of holes in the heart (atrial septal defect and patent foramen ovale); left atrial appendage closures; and valvular heart disease. After graduating from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Goldberg completed an internship, residency, and fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and a fellowship at UC Irvine. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. He also serves as chief medical officer for Cardiac Dimensions, a company that provides treatment for valvular heart disease.
