MONTEREY, Calif. — Treatment for alcohol and drug dependency is now available during evening hours through the Recovery Center of Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.
“Most people need to be able to continue to go to work or to school while in treatment,” says Suzi Brauner-Tatum, assistant manager of Behavioral Health Services. “Our new hours make that possible.”
The new hours are from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The recovery program offers group treatment based on a 12-step model. After completing treatment, patients and family members can participate in an after-care program for up to a year.
Assessments for treatment are free. To schedule an appointment, call 373-0924 from 1-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The Recovery Center is at 576 Hartnell St., in downtown Monterey.
