Our Comprehensive Cancer Center team
At Community Hospital, we believe that our people are the most important component in the quality of your care. Your treatment will include a team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, radiation therapists, a physicist, dosimetrists (who help develop treatment plans), nurses, educators, and more. Our medical director is Grant Swanson. We have an exceptional team.
The best of all worlds
We offer an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment. Twice each week, experts in pathology, radiology, surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology meet to discuss the cases of individual patients and to collaborate in the development or modification of treatment plans as needed.
Additionally, the Comprehensive Cancer Center works closely with departments across the hospital including Rehabilitation Services, Nutrition Services, Pharmacy, and more to ensure that every aspect of your care is addressed.
Nationally recognized nurses
Comprehensive Cancer Center registered nurses receive special training in the care of patients undergoing cancer treatment. Many of these RNs are also certified by the Oncology Nursing Society and proudly display the OCN designation on their name badges.
