Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) rehabilitation program

PAD program

A supervised 8-week exercise and education program for people with leg pain caused by peripheral artery disease (PAD). It's designed to improve your walking ability, decrease leg pain, improve quality of life, and reduce risk factors for PAD.

Clinical exercise physiologists and registered nurses provide an individual assessment to establish goals and evaluate exercise function.

Treatment plan

Each participant receives an individualized treatment plan which includes:

  • Supervised exercise training 2-3 times a week

  • Blood pressure/EKG monitoring as needed

  • Personal exercise prescription

  • Risk factor and symptom education and management

  • Guidelines for creating an independent exercise program

A referral from a doctor is required to participate in the program. We can help obtain this.

Many health insurance plans reimburse for these services. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
