A supervised exercise and education program for people with leg pain caused by peripheral artery disease.
The 8-week Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Rehabilitation Program is designed to improve your walking ability, decrease leg pain, improve quality of life, and reduce risk factors for the disease.
Clinical exercise physiologists and registered nurses will provide an individual assessment to establish goals and evaluate exercise function.
Each participant receives an individualized treatment plan which includes:
Supervised exercise training 2-3 times a week
Blood pressure/EKG monitoring as needed
Personal exercise prescription
Risk factor and symptom education and management
Guidelines for creating an independent exercise program
A referral from a doctor is required to participate in the program.
